MDF · Particle board · Melamine

Engineered panels

Keep edges dry. Protect the surface.

Everyday care

  • Dust with a soft, dry, non-abrasive cloth.
  • Keep liquids away from panel edges, seams, and cable openings. Wipe up spills promptly.
  • Use coasters and desk pads to protect against heat and scratches.

Before you treat it

Do not soak surfaces or apply steam. Confirm the exact finish before using polish, wax, or a chemical cleaner.

Material details & product example

MDF, particle board, engineered wood, and melamine board appear in our product specifications. The core material and surface finish are different details; a wood-look finish does not by itself mean solid wood.

Before you treat it

Do not oil, wax, sand, or refinish a surface unless the instructions for that finish permit it.

Material details & product example

Some products specify solid wood; others list wood or mixed wood-and-board construction. Check the materials for the exact item and option rather than relying only on its title.

ASSEMBLY & SETUP

Before the first use.

Check the delivery

Inspect the item and packaging on arrival. Keep photos and packaging if anything is damaged or missing. Please report delivery issues promptly, preferably within 7 calendar days, as requested in the Shipping & Delivery Policy. This reporting request does not limit your rights under applicable law.

Follow your item’s instructions

Compare the parts with the supplied list and follow the product-specific assembly sequence. Assembly requirements vary; do not assume every item arrives assembled.

Pause if something is unclear

Do not force a fitting or guess at missing instructions. For LED lighting, powered features, moving parts, and anti-tip hardware, use the instructions supplied for the exact product.

Care questions

Does a wood-look finish mean solid wood?

No. Check the material specification. Our records include both solid wood and engineered boards, and some products combine materials.

Can I use the same cleaner on all surfaces?

No. Furniture can combine a board core, a decorative finish, metal, and upholstery. Identify each surface and follow its specific instructions before using a cleaner.

What do “E1” or “eco-friendly board” mean on a listing?

Some source specifications use these labels, but they are not a store-wide certification. Ask us for the documentation applicable to your exact product if a grade or compliance requirement is important to your project.

Where can I get assembly or care instructions?

Contact support@lurpes.com with your order number, product link, and selected size or finish. Include a clear photo of the part, surface, or assembly step you need help with.

Can I treat a marble-look surface as natural stone?

No. Confirm whether the surface is natural stone, a composite, a printed pattern, or another finish before applying a stone cleaner, sealer, or polish.
